The crushing continues to shape about the same. At the mine there is not much new. Lately the manager has had men employed stripping the lode in the west drive from Ho. 1 winze, and a start has i been made at taking down the lode. In | the intermediate level from the No. 2 , wiuze gold continues to be seen in the , Sons ot Freedom lode. The No. 3 winze which is now down 35 feet, is showing a > promising . iode with gold visible when, breaking down quartz. The Sons of Freedom lode in the rise on Battery level is about 2£ feet thick on the average, and a little gold continues to be seen. Carpenter's leader continues to . look well though it is small. The different dead work contracts arc making good progress. The specimen dirt is beginning to accumulate again, as already there are 3 or 4 ; cwt. picked dirt on hand.
