OLD SIAM.
The shareholders of this claim have now nearly completed their tramway, which is some 400 feet long, and affords an excellent means of getting the quartz from the claim to the road. It will be some (iays, however, before they are able to get out a parcel to send to the mill. The drive, or rather tunnel, they are putting in ia making fair progress, considering the size of the work. It is some 60 feet from the shaft yet. The two lodes referred to in a previous report are now Hearing each other, and I should say that 30 feet should sec a junction between them —that is to say, it the country re* mains as it is. Enough gold has been seen "to swear by," the quartz has a kindly appearance, and the shareholders expect some gold at the junction.
