KURANUI HILL UNITED.
The following is a copy of the mine manager's usual weekly report:~" I hare the honor to report that yesterday the battery was started on trjbutcrs' parcels. The return from our tributes willl ■ be considerably under the usual monthly average. At the No. 3 level (300 feet) the drive on the leader has advanced 14 feet. The quartz has now assumed the form of a compact leader eight to twelve inches wide, but so far it shows uo gold. At the 040-feet level both Nolan's and Aubury's contracts are makipg good progress (each. 13 feet). There is no change in either end since my report last week. —I have, etc., J. W. Walker." ■ , ■
Amongst several other parcels, some of which are shaping rather poorly, Mills and
party are crushing a lot which is going 2ozs per ton, or perhaps a little over. .Newdick and party finished their crushing for the yield of 21ozs lldwls 12grs gold.
