The Australian anti-fever tree—that is the blue gum, or eucalyptus has now spread its fame lliroughout the world* but i there are many who do nol properly estimate ' its splendid qualities. , It has been estimated - that the Australian blue gums, which stud the face of the colony, contain about fire hundred million gallons of pare volatile oil, that is the mortal foe of feTer aud ague. Every day in the year the forests of the colony are giving out and exhaling, in the form of vapor, an aromatic fragrance to our breeics, and a bealth-givi»g essence to our people. This fact is now recognised by all the scientists in the world. . In all cases of Inflammation, the essence may be applied to the part effected. In severe cases of Toothache of rheumatic origin, the pure cesonco may be applied on the external purl, of the face. Incase* of InjlammmtionofthtEye*, apply the pure essence to the outside of the eyelids. Headacte aud Mheumatic Pain* in the Head are positively cured and removed by rubbing, the essence on the effected parts. For many Case* of Setere Xruist* \h» essence has proved the beet remedy.
