CURE.
The sinking of the wince on Gilmour's lode below the No. 1 level is making good progress, and, though no reef has yet been broken down, the manager hopes to be in a position to start sloping out a block by next week. The work is being pushed on with all speed, so that while the several > opcrniioiis entailing dead work which the manager intends to carry out are proceed* ing, payable quarts will also be coming to hand. In a day or two some of the tribute parties will be crushing.
