ALBURNIA.
The sinking of the winao in Dixon's section is proceeding and making fair progress, and when it is completed an extensive block of auriferous and almost virgin country —in fact, it might almost be said thai; a new mine—will be oponcd up. The parcel of specimens on hand is being constantly augmented by other parcels, chiefly from the Sons of Freedom lode and specimen leader on the iutermediato level. At the liattery the crushing, which had been going hardly so well last week, has picked up again, and is now well up to the general average. The specimens and picked stone, of wliich there is considerably over a ton on hand, was to be brought down the tramway this afternoon and a start made at putting them through the single stamper tomorrow. Uetorting eventuates on Friday or Saturday.
