INVERCARGILL.

Monday. Cecil Jackson, lafs surgeon of the Invercargill Hospital, was arrested this morning on the charge of attempting to procure abortion in the case of Ellen Green, a patient in the hospital. He was brought up before the Magistrate. The evidence of the hospital matron, Mrs Williams, was taken, and the case was adjourned to Monday next. It was not settled whether bail would be allowed.
