RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT

THIS DAY. . (Before W. Fraier, Eiq., E.M.) DBUHKBNVBSS. Three individuals were charged with drunkenness. Two of them appeared, pleaded guilty, and were punished in the usual manner. The third offender forfeited bis bail. ALLEGED BBCTAL ASSAULT. Thomas Ower, on remand, was charged with unlawfully assaulting one Jane Ower, causing her grievous bodily harm. Mr Bullen said that since the last remand Ower had been unable tc get bail, and the prosecutrix would not be able to attend the Court for six weeks yet. He would therefore apply to be allowed to withdraw the charge for the present. Withdrawn accordingly. * Court adjourned.
