TAURANGA.

Saturday.

Great dissatisfaction is expressed amongst the Arawas respecting the delay in the sitting of the Native Lands Court at Maketu. A sitting has been promised since March, 1867, and is continually postponed.

The Bay of Plenty Times, referring to the delay in the investigation of the Arawa titles, states that au important deputation of Maketu natives interviewed Mr Commissioner Brabant, and plainly stated that unless a sitting of the Court is speedily gianted, or themselves allowed to manage their own land affairs, bloodshed among themselves would ensue.
