At 11 o'clock to-day, Mr William Carpenter sold by auction, at the Exchange Buildings, the Hape. Creek Goldmining Company's mine, plrnt, and battery. There was a good attendance, and the first bid made was £500. It rose rapidly up to £90, and, after some time, was finally knocked down to Mr James Darrpw, at that price.
