German papers tell this story in connection with Baron Rothschild's death :— A meets B weeping and sobbing -aloud. Says A: " Why do you weep P " Be.cause," says B, as if his heart weirfl breaking, ". because he is dea.d—thp powerful" and rich baron."' 'f But," replied A, " why do you ory so much ? He was no relation of yours!" " That's just what I am erf ing about," howls B, more affected than erer. A young Irishman hating been charged with getting drunk the night before, and wishing to justify himself, declared that he was never drunk, nor never meant to be, for it always made him feel so bad the next morning. -
