The squadrons of Germany, France, Austria and Italy are preparing to join the British, fleet at Stamboul, and Prince Gortschakoff intimates that as this measure has been adopted to secure the safety of Christians, Eussia will occupy the defences on shore for the same purpose; leaving little doubt of Russia's intentions; and one item in the news would seem to indicate that Turkey acquiesces. The British squadron has arrived at Stamboul under Admiral Hornby.
