(Before W. Fraser, Esq., R.M.) ALLEGED WIFE BEATING.

Thomas Ower was charged on warrant withunlawfully assaulting one Jane Ower, causing her grievous bodily harm. Mr Bullen said that this was an indictable offence, and as the woman was in the Hospital he would ask that the case be remanded.

Remanded to 16th February, the accused to be admitted on bail with two sureties of £50 each.
