A. Bannerman receired the first over from Lynch, which was a maiden. C. Bannerman hit hard at Eobinson's first, but missed it. He drove the fourth ball for one, weli fielded by Dacre. Lynch bowled another maiden. A. Bannerman got one to leg off Bobinson's next. Lynch and Bobinson had another maiden, both batsmen biding their lime. In Bobinson's next C. Bannerman got two past cover point, but the first ball of Lynch's next over was fatal to A. Bannerman, who returned it to the bowler—one for four. A cheer greeted Bannermnn's departure. Horan was next at tbe wicket. After two maiden overs C. Banneroiau cut Lynch for three. He also got a single to leg off Bobinson.
