PIAKO.

The slight accident caused by the fouling of one of the rods was rectified on Saturday, and the water was forked on Saturday night. A good deal of water lodged about the No. 8 level, which will hare the effect of making it wet fora day or two, but no damage has been done. From the flow of water in the face of the north cross-cut, it is evident that there is a body of quartz not far distant, which will in all probability turn out to be the No. 1 reef.
