Mb H. A ilex arrived overland from Napier on Sunday night with 1500 sheep, and, after travelling the whole distance without let or hindrance from either Native or European, he was stopped at the Komata by Tukukino, who has on more than one occasion caused great annoyance to individuals and inconvenience to the public by his mischievous obstructivenesf. Tukukino, we bear, demanded payment from Mr Alley to allow his sheep to pass, which the latter refused; and we believe that it is his intention to proceed against Tukukino in a Court of law for damages for detention of his stock, as the best way of bringing this wretched phnse of the native'difficulty under the notice of the Government, with a view to a final abolition of such illegal trifling and interference.
