MOANATAIRI.
The battery returns continue good. At the mine operations are all of a progres* •ire character, and no fresh finds hate been made. The sinking of the No. 3 wince connecting the 80-feet and 150 feet levels, which was completed a day or two ago has disclosed the mystery respecting the No, 9 reef, in west drive, 150-feet level. It will be remembered that when driren on some months ago a "blow" was discovered, after which, all that remained of the reef nas a few. disintegrated leaders. The completion of the winze shows that the true reef exists about six feet from the drivel where, at the bottom of the No. 3 winze it is of good size. Driving has been commenced on it, and in the face it is 4 feet'through, showing gold freely. The No, 9 reef between the slides which T referred to in a previous visit continues to look well, and is yielding good parable crushing stuff. I may mention that there were indications that a reef is not far distant now. The directors have just declared a dividend of 6s per share, or £3375 on the 13,500 shares in the company. Williams and party, tributers, have* finished their crushing for the yield of 21ozs 12dwts gold.
