The cricket malch, Australian Eleven v. Canterbury Fifteen, commenced at noon. The weather was fine and the attendance large. By 3.25 the Australians were all out for 46. A Bannerman's score was 14. The Canterbury Fifteen* when the stumps were drawn, stood 10 wickets for 109.
