The entries for the Jockey Club Handicap and Hurdle Bace closed on Saturday evening. Nine entered for the Jockey Club Handicap, and seven for the Hurdle Bace. The meeting is likely to be the best ever held here.

The following are the entries:— Jockey Club Handicap—Kelly's Gainsboro' and Islepman, Crowther's Battling Haven and Steel Trap, Wilkinson's Skylark, Peeblc's Moa, Durbridgo's Wairarapa and Hcchan, and McGee's Elsa. Handicap Hurdle ltace—Kelly's Mount, Grant's Echo, Peebles Pumice, Crowther's Steel Trap, Merritt's Doubtful, Durbridge's Wairarapa, McGee's Perfume.
The wreck of the Nellie was sold for one pound by auction. The winch, fore and mainmasts, and stove were recovered yesterday by the captain.
