RATEPAYERS OF PARAWAI.
(To the Editor of the -Krcning Star.)
Sib,—l believe in the privilege of making use of your columns, which you nt all times appear so generously to open for complaints or grievances where good may arise from any exposure, for which the public ultimately derive a benefit, and you a loss, by such grievances being brought under the notice of those ro aggrieved through your letter column in lieu of that of advertising space. Now, Sir, with this privilege before me, I would desire to call the attention of the Parawai ratepayers to the gross negligence of our representatives of the Koad Board through their not giving a few minutes to our mutual benefit; aud although they seek the office as Trustees, will not even allow us the few moments it would take to nominate and appoint a member to represent bur interest for our district on the Harbor Board. 1 would suggest a'better known ratepayer than myself should call a meeting of this district, and then come to some understanding as to the real cause of this wind-sailing, and at such meeting mako up our minds to remain as we are with better representatives, or join the. Borough or County at once. —I am, <fee., • Parawai Ratepayer.
