TIMARU.
Friday.
At the Resident Magistrate's Court to* day, William Corbett, proprietor of an accommodation house at the Mackenzie Country, charged with forging and uttering a cheque by changing the amount from £2 5s to £22 ss, and cashing it at the Bank of New Zealaud, was committed for trial at the Supreme Court in Timaru. Bail was allowed, himself in £400, and two securities of £200 each.
