EUCALYPTI ESSENCE.
LET the Public take notice of a 'Mr facts put forward for their Information in this intimation. They may be worth tbeir study, and repay perusal in enlightening them upon a subject of practical utility. THE HISTORY OF THE ESSENCE'S DISCOVERY. The Australian anti-fever tree—that » the blue gum, or eucalyplu* globulut—hma now spread its fame throughout the world, but there are many who do not properly estimate its splendid qualities. It bat been estimated that the Auatraliau blue gum*, which stud the face of the colony, contain about five hundred million gallons of pure volatile oil, that is the mortal foe of fever and ague. Evsry day in the year the forests of the colony are giving out and exhaling, in the form of vapor, an aromatic frsgiance to our brecits, aud • health-giving essence to our people. Thii fact is now recognised by all the scientists in the world. ITS CLAIM AS A CURATIVE. It has now become the fashion with the in* venters or discoverers of remedial agents to claim something little short of infallibility and universality of core for their respective agents. . Messrs Sander and Sons did nothing of the eort. They have confidence,that their etsence possesses many virtues; but the full exteut of these they do not know yet. They are now collecting data, and they are most careful and searching in performing this. It it quite sure then, that their eucalypti essence can fairly assert itself to be a grand panacea for many of the ills that flesh it heir to. " " ' ' ' "■". ' ' "•'.. ..■' , .". • .
In Scarlet, Typhoid, or any case of Fever, nothing will protect better against contagion than.a few drops of the essence poured in the palm of the hand, and rubbed in, in order to liberate the vapors, or sprinkled over the .clothes. The perfume will be noticed for a great leogth of time. Inwardly wed, take three or four drops in half a tumbler of water. The essence effects a most surprising change of the whole constitution, correcting indigestion, and creating a lieaUhy appetite. For Children Attending School*, the aunt) mode may be adopted. In Cases of Sieknett, a few drops put into a saucer, and put into the room will, being an etberio essence, evaporate, and fill the room with the purifying vapor. - Are you obliged io Travel! A few drops occasionally rubbed on the body, will protect i against any contagion you may be exposed to, in coming direct with sick persons, or in sleeping in the same room with, or in beds occupied previously by sick persons. All Sotelkeepers will do well to sprinkle from time to time in drawers, where linen is usually kept, a few drops of the pure essential essence. It produces no spots whatever, as every particle of it evaporates, and nothing remains. .. , ' In short, where a disinfectant it needed, the pure essential ecualypti essence ought to be the one you have recourse to, and no family ought to be without it. I^or all Wound*, Cut*, Burns, Scalding*, and Cancerous Wound*, a piece of linen wrapped round "the suffering part, and moistened with a few drops of the eucalypti essence, will stop all pain,,and effect a speedy curb. In oases where a piece of linen cannot bo applied, the moistening of the suffering part with the pure essence will do as well. In Case of Colds moisten the nostrils with a few drops and inhale the. vapour, and you will feel the immediate relief, and entire riddance of the heat. - .. , ■
In all cases where the Lvngs may It Affected, the above-mentioned process, con-* tinjially repeated, will bo the .best that can be advised.
In cotes of Eheumatitm, .a mixture of oae part of the pure essential eucalypti csecnot with three parts of spirits of wine, well Tabbed in the suffering part, has acted better than any other remedy. In all cases of Inflammation, 'the tnence may be applied to the part affected. : In severe coves of Toothache of rheumatic origin,, the.pure jesence may be applied on the external part of the face... . In cases of Inflammation of the Eges, apply the pure essence to the outaide of the eyelids. Seadache and Bhmmaiic Paint in the Head are posilirely cured and remoTed by.rubbing the essence on the effected patta. For many ...Cases, of Severe Bntiste the essence has pro Ted the best remedy. SECTION 121 (1) of "The ftamp Act, 1875," proud* s that erery person takicg possession of, or receiving or paying any moneys belonging to, or accruing from, the property (realty as well as'personalty) of any . person dying on and after Ist January next, without baring first filed tbe required statement and piid the duties assessed thereon, shall forfeit a sum not exceeding £500.
Whether probate or letters of administration are grafted by any Court or not, a state* ment of ail property must be filed and duties paid before the property -or any part thereof of any deceased person is in any manner dealt with.
On payment of the proper duties, the pro* bate or letters rccoired from the Court, or the statement of property in other esses, will be stamped and .delivered to the person entitled thereto.
