Sale of Mining Property.
Mr James Craig sold on the ground, at 11 o'clock to-day, the Queen of the May mine and plant. There was a large attendance, and the mine and engine were first put up. The first bid was £500, made by Mr Wickham, but it rapidly rose to £1600, when it was knocked at that price to Mr J. A. Miller, acting for the Queen of Beauty G.M.Co. The pumping gear was sold as a separate lot, and realised £56, while tools, timber, etc., realised £15. The total sum realised is £1671, which will pay the secured creditors -fthe Bank of "New Zealand and. the Waio-Karaka Pumping Committee—in full, but will not' settle the unsecured creditors' amounts in full. At 12 o'clock Mr James.Craig sold at Judd's foundry the Golden Arrow battery in the suit of Daykin. r. the Golden Arrow G.M.Co. It was knocked down to Mr G. Black for the sum of £150. ......
