ALBURNIA.
The extension of the intermediate level from the No. 2 winze has reached the No. 1 winze, and the manager intends shortly to start men stoping out the block on the specimen leader between this block and the floor of the Whau level. In tho Whau level the Sons of Freedom lode is small, but shows gold, and on the whole has a promising aspect. The battery will resume crushing opera* tions en high grade ore on Monday or Tuesday next. .
QUEEN OF BEAUTY. There is no change to report at the mine, which continues to turn out a good grade of crushing stuff. At the battery the stampers are employed on company's stuff, there being no outsiders' parcels at the mill just now; The battery manager reports that the crushing, is shaping about the same as last. :
