CROWN PRINCESS.
Davidson and party, the new crowd, who are working the JNo. 4 leader on the No. 1 level, have taken out a crushing Of 3 loads of stuff, which 'on being sent to Bull's battery has produced the handsome average of llozs sdwts melted gold. The No. 4 leader on this level is about 4 inches thick, and the present tributers deserve their success as they had a great deal of dead work to do to get the leader, and parties well acquainted with the ground refused to take up that .section. Yesterday the whole of the men in the mine had to evacuate the workings through the rising of a cloud of gas. This presence of gas in the mine is not a very unfrequent occurrence,,especially when the wind blows from the eastward. . Fortunately the wind' changed last night, and operations have been resumed. None of the other parties will be orunhing before the end of the month. . . '
