; The New Zealand Insurance Company's half-yearly meeting showed the receipts, including balance from last year, to be a hundred and fifty thousand seven hundred and eighty pounds (£150,780); expenditure, a hundred and twenty-six thousand one hundred and three (£126,103); including all losses to the end of the half year. Balance to credit of profit and loss, twenty - four thousand sir hundred (£24,600). A dividend of fifteen per centwas declared; the balance, nine thousand six hundred and seventy-seven (£9,677) being carried forward. -'The premiums amounted to eighty-three thousand seven hundred (£83,700); losses, fifty-nine thousand two "hundred and seventy - six (£59,276); appropriation for losses unpaid, thirty-one thousand three hundred and sixty-three (£31,363).
