Fire in Auckland and Loss of Life.
Vare's Harbor View restaurant on the wharf was totally destroyed by fire early this morning. Although a two storey buiiding, in close proximity to other wotiden houses, the efficiency of the brigade and the water supply confined the fire to the building where it originated. Insuied f.«r three huudr.ed pounds in the Norwich Union. The charred remains of the body of a man were discovered after the fire. The identity i 3 not yet certain, but it is believed to bo an old tramp.
