PIGEONGRAMS.

OHINEMUEI.

(FnoM oun own cokbespondents.)

Paeboa, This day, 1 p.m

News has just been received that Mr William McClougb.cn, who erected the first public-house in Mackaytown, died yesterday afternoon in the Auckland Hospital, after a long and painful illness, caused, I believe, by cancer in the stomach. The deceased was a very enterprising and industrious man, and will be missed by a large circle of friends. I hear that his brother-in-law (Mr Noble) and others from Mackaytown will make an effort to catch the Auckland steamer at the Thames this evening. If the new road were passable they could do it easily.
