Insurance |>J B W ZEALAND GOVEKNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life /Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of ewr% Policy is guaranteed "by the Colony. Pavticipatioa in Pronta it authorised by the Legis latore to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4-All Policies are npn-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continua'nee in force of every Policy for tho original ampunt, until the surrender-value of the Policy it exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. , 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions as to traydling and residence. B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy- —An iHSurance Policy effected by the Insured, Isnajide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to .a'certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two yean, it is protected to the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9 —Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at tho time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt pjayment of Claims and no discount charged.
