THAMES STOCK EXCHANGE. WEEKLY SHARE REPORT.

The Stock Exchange, June 30th. The business transacted during the past week has been of an important character. Mcanatairi.—A fevr shares have changed hands at £9, and close considerably easier, ■with sellers £8 10s. Caledonians hare been in good demand ; sales from £5 to £6, sellers at the close £6, bnyers £5s 15s. Kuranuis show a slightly downward tendency j a few shares have changed hands from 29a to 28s 6d, sellers now afc the latter figure. Alburnia. —The principal business of the week has been in this stock ; sales from 55s to 59s 6d, and back to 555, advancing again to 59*, afc which price there are sellers, buyers 57s 6d. Queen of Beauty— Limited business at 20s, closing much firmer, buyers 21s, sellers about 22*. Wftitekauris are still declining; sales from 14s 9d to 14s, quotations at the close nominal. Cure.—A fair amount of business from 8a to 8s 6d, back to Bs, with buyers now 7s 6d. Piako.—Limited business at 9s, at which figure there are buyers. City of London.— Sales at 9s 3d to 9s 6d before call of 2a 6d per share was made, buyers now 12s, no declared sellers. Bed Queen. —On Wednesday there -was a strong demand for this stock; sales 3s 6d to 3s 9d, receding since to sellers 3s 6d, no declared bujers at present. Welcome.—Sales 53 3d to 5s 44, and are now worth 5s 3d, sellers 5s 6d. Young New Zealand.—Business done at 7s 6d. Homeward Bound.—Show an improvement;' sales from Is 3d to Is 6d, with buyers Is 6d at the close.'* No transactions to report in Waiotahi, Queen of the May, and Tokatea. Crown Princesses were asked for at the close of the market.. Sales in Bank of New Zealand, £22 ; South British Insurance 97s 6d, and more shares could be placed at these prises.
