Ehmenfjiied for a license to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes at Pakiraruhi, commencing at the Juncion of the Mensletown and Barnes' Creek- (where the Ajax flume now .cjniinenoss), and terminating at; a point about sixty feet below the Ajux Battery. The length of such Rucc is one mile and a-half, or thereabouts : and its intended course is easterly. The mean breadth and depth of such Rice is two feet by one foot; it is capuble of carrying three sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty, inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is three. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 24th day of July, 1877, a License _may be granted to the above-named Louis Ehrenfried for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto bo in the meantime made in writir.g, ond lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date.
