The fourth annual meeting of the Union Beach was held to-day. The directors' report stated that during the past twelve months 1832 tons of quartz have been crushed, with a yield of 11,362 ounces, which realised £34,888; out of which dividends have beeu paid to the amount of £25,187—equal to £3 5s per share. The reserve fund has *T)een increased from £2039 to £2800. It r3commended £250 as an honorarium to the directors. Messrs Daldy and Stone, the retiring directors, and Mr Waymouth, auditor were re elected.
The inquest on the body of Rowley is proceeding. The remains have been identified by Mrs Rowley from a description of the clothes.
There is a panic amongst the shopkeepers with light weights owing to the recent raid.
