The following is the weekly report of the manager submitted at the directors' meeting held yesterday:—" Moanatairi G.M. Co.—To the Directors.—Gentle* men, —I have the honor to report as under:— *" 80 feet level, south-east crosscut. No. 9 reef: The new winze has been sunk down (over the slide) 12 feet, and ia now timbered up and made secure. The reef here is four feet thick, and worth 2ozs per ton. The stopes above this level are giving a large quantity of low grade crushing stuff, the reef being large, but in many cases split into leaders. This is especially the case in the eastern stopes. The intermediate stopes will have to be suspended for a few days in order to fill up with mullock, The drive on the All Nations leader from N.W. cross-cut has broken into the level on No. 9 reef, 12 feet west from the elide, and has thus prospected the country between the above leader and No, 9 reef; but nothing has been met with of an encouraging, nature. 150 feet level: The south cross-cut is extended 30 feet from the shaft through good country, and some leaders and stringers of quartz have been intersected. The north cross - cut is tight, and slow progress is being made. Tunnel level: A winze has been started on No. 9 *eef» 20 feet west from the junction of Wallis' leader, to give facilities for filling stopes below. Operations in the mine are being carried on without interruption and with encouraging prospects. 490 tons of quartz during j the past fortnight gave the yield of 1092 ounces retorted gold." : Whisker and party completed their crushing today, and banked as the result 15ozs 9dwts gold.
