A PPLICATION has been made by Lotrrs JLJL Eheenfbied for a license to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes at Pakirarahi, commencing at the Junction of the Measletown and Barnes' Creek (where the Ajax flume now commences), and terminating at a point about sl\ij fc::t below the Ajax Battery. The length of such Race h one mile and r-half, or thereabouts : and, its intended course is easterly. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by one foot; it is capable of caujing three sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which, it is proposed to appropriate is three. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 24fch day of July, 1877, a License may be granted to the above-named Louis Ehrenfried for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writieg, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. The length of such Race is half a mile, or thereabouts, and its intended course is about north-east.
