CURE.

The manager is continuing operations ou the No. 6 and 2 reefs. All the workings on the former are confined to the Crown level and upwards, and the manager expects to meet with much better success in the drive than he did in the winze. The lode has a very promising appearance and shows a little gold occasionally. There is a long course of the reef in the company's ground, and from the underlie they also have it for a depth of about 1000 feet. The No. 2 reef continues to look well, and is showing a little gold. The manager expects that there is at least 170 feet of it in the mine with over 200 feet of backs. Judging from the course of the various lodes in the mine the manager' has a strong conviction that the Nos. 4 and 5 reefs will junction with it near the Eed Queen boundarm As the stuff in both the lodes is easy .W get at, it is expected that/, there will be a coaple of trial erushings accumulated during next week. The manager has succeeded in letting two more blocks -on tribute, making now eight Lrbute sections in the mine, and he is now prepared to let several others. ?

Johns and party completed their crushing at the Kuranui battery tc-iay for the return of 38ozs lOdwts gold. For this return they crushed about 35 loads, and the return is payable.
