TOKATEA.
The following is the weekly report of the manager to tbe directors:—" In my last report I mentioned that we were about commencing another stope from No. 6 rise. It did not turn out as well as expected. I have put the" stope through, aid got a few pounds of stone left in the roof of the stope below. There was nothing in the leader, but blotches of gold th-ough the stone. It may, however, make gold again any mopent, there being no change for the worse in the appearance of the leader or country. We are now carrying another stope forward on No. 4 rise, which alrc dy shows a little gold. It will take a fjw. shifts yet to get forward to the point where gold was found in the stope below. There is a good large lode in the stope going out from No. 3 rise, showing blotches of gold frequently. We have about 100 tons of quartz ready for the battery, end 401bs of picked stone, and start crushing to-morrow.''
