AUCKLAND.
This day,
An accident occurred at Bycroft's mills, Onehunga. The man, George Hassard, was engaged in hoisting biscuits to the upper floor, and got the chain entangled in the engine shaft. The massive blocks were torn from their fastenings, and struck Hassard on the head inflicting a ghastly wound. The injuries are very serious.
