TRANSFEHS OF SHARES. 1 T is he eby notified, (hat, after the Ist o 1 January 1876, the use of Impressed Stamps upon Ira. sfers of Shares ia compulsory, but transfers of shares may be 3tamped at a Stamp Office by Ilie Commissioner or a Deputy Commissioner within one month after exeou ton without a fi-.0. Managers and Secretaries 'of Companies, Shiirebrokerf, and ohera interested, are recommended to forward, without delay such forms of transfer as they may require to be impressed, accompanied by the usual requiai<ion and receipt from the Baak of New Zcalnnd for amount thereof, less the authorised discount. Information may be obtained at any Stamp Office. r The provisions of the Act relating hereto are as follow :— " 47. (1.) Except where express provision is ma c to the contrary, a ]l duties »re to be denoted by impressed stamps only " '" 102. No transfer of any share or shares of or m the ntock or funds of any corporation', company, or society what era- in New Zealand shall be registered, recorded, or entered in the books of such corporation,' company, or society, unless such transfer is duly ..tamped. 103. No instrument of sale or transit of any share cr shares shall be valid, eithfr at law ot in equity, unless the name of the purchaser or transferee is injertod therein at the time of or before the execution of the instrument oi Pale or transfer! and, if any perioa executes a Pale-note, transfer, contract-note or other instrument of sale or transfer, in any manner, or for any purpose whatsoever; «, 4 , less the mane of the purchaser is inserted therein at the time or before the execution thereof, he shall forfeit a sum of-not less than £20 or moro than £100; and, if any such instrument is so made or signed, it shall be wholly and absolutely void and inoperative, and shall in no case be made available by the insertion of a name or any other particulars, afterwards; and the person selling or transferring such share shall not be divested of hit interest .therein, but shall remain liable thereon as if he had never sold or disposed 01 the same. And if such person is a licensed sharebroker, his license shall, on any conviction undenj this section, bo absolutely'forfeited, and he shall not thereafter be qualified to »ct as a broker, or to have a fresh license issued to him. ■ - "104. No sharebroker, auctioneer, commission agent, or any other person shall be entitled to any brokerage, commission, or any other fte or reward in respect of the wle or transfer of any such share, unless the instrument of Bale or transfer is filled up witk all necessary particulars to make it a complete irstrutnent ; and is duly stamped. - , ' SCHEDULE.
