"Warden' 3 Oflke, Grahamstown, 21st June, 1877. A PPLICATION has been made by Louis J\- EhbENFbied for a license to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes afe Fakirarahi, commencing at the Junction of the Measletown and Barnes' Creek (where the Ajax; '. flume now /cominenc?6), and terminating at a point abou| sixty feet below the Ajax Battery. The length of such Race is one mile and a-balf, or thereabouts : and its intended course is easterly. The mean breadth and depth of such Race ; is two feet by one foot; it is capable of carrying three sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inche3 each which it is proposed to appropriate 1b three. NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 24th day of July, 1877, a License may be granted to the above-named Louis Ehrenfricd for the said Water Race, unless.valid objection thereto be in.the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. .. : - W.
