This was the abusive language. The threat was, " This is the^'HouW pf Commons, or I've a good Vmind ; to, [give it to you, and if you'll come ( outa.ide I'll do it for you or tbrashfyou.', I'^1'^ Mr Callan continued a line of intimidating* conduct right along the corridors po much so that the reporter really feared violence. The hon.. member was, , no. doubt., labouring ' under great excitemep^-.at' the' time, but that could not justify" this conduct, especially *as "thY report of'tfie proceedings were accurate. Mr Woolrycli, after exam* ining the plan produced; said thai the locus in quo was in the very heart of flic-House o{ Commons, and could not. be .called a public place.
