Educational BOAED OF EDUCATION. 1. nHHE attention of School Committees A and Teachers is called to the Regulation of the Board (page 9): —"Teachers must not absent themselves from their Schools on school days during school hours, except on urgent business and with the consent of the School Committee previously obtained: and the fact of their having so absented themselves must in all cases- fcr^potified in writing by tho teaohers to the Board of Education." This rule into be understood as intended to apply to every occasion (not being a •holiday sanctioned by the Board) on which no school is held. 2. Head Teachers are required to report to 'the Board, and to the District School Committee, the absence, from whatever cause, of any As.-istant or Pupil Teacher employed in their schools. 3. Committees.and Head Teachers are also reminded that on no account whatever snould any person be allowed to teach in a- District School without the express sanction.of the Board. 4. Teachers must also understand that they are not at liberty to part with the key of the school at any time, or to'give up possession of the Schoolroom during School hours, for any purpose, except upon the written authority of the Committee or the Board.
