QUEEN OF THE MAY.
Yesterday a small leader was cut in the .hanging-wall side of the footwall lode, and a candle box full of specimens was obtained from it. Tbe manager is following it with a drive, and 10-day several pounds more stone was obtained from it. As yet very little is known respectiig it,-but judging from appearances at present it looks like a new leader. -It is possible, though not probable, that this may prove an offshoot of the supposed lode"" which the manager has been looking out for for the last two or three weeks. This is not likely vo be the case, as if it had any connection with the supposed lode it should have come in at the footwall side of the drive as the indications' are 'all in taat direction, and not from the hanging wall side. . -" ■. v
