ALBUENIA.
For the last day or two men have been employed stripping the specimen leader in the Whau level, and at a late hour last night breaking down took place and 601bs of good specimens were obtained. Breaking down took place in the same lode on the battery level also last evening, and the result was 1031bs of picked stone. The following is the copy of the telegram sent by the manager .4o the directors at Auckland this morning:—" 601bs rich specimens Whau level. lOOlbs of picked stone bottom of battery level.—S. Gkibble."
Foster and party are preparing for another crushing, and expect a handsome result;. Today they lodged in the Bank of New Zealand for safe keeping about half * a hundred weight of specimens. They Have now about 1501bs of specimens in the bank, having lodged a parcel previous to to-day.
