TRICT. NOTICE UNDER SECTIONS 41 AND 84 OF THE GOLDMINING DISTRICTS ACT, 1873. APPLICATION FOR LICENSE TO CONSTRUCT A WATER RACE. Warden's Office, Grahamstown, 7th June, 1877. A PPLICATION has been made bf Robert iX Thompson Graham for the Phoenix Gold Mining Company for a license to construct a Water Race for Mining purposes at .Pakirarahi, commencing at a point about 409 yards north-east of the Surrey No. 1 Claim, and terminating at the lower end of the said claim. The length of such Boce is .800 yards or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-east and south-west. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by nine inches. It is capable of carrying two . sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is two* NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 10th' day of July, 1877, a License may be granted to the above-named Phoenix Gold Mining Company (Limited) for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear days before that date. A PPLICATION has^ been mado by J\. Thomas W. AliLEtf/for a iiceuse to construct a Water Bace for mining purposes at Tairua, commencing at the termination of Race applied for by It. Graham, for the Pbcenix G-.M.C0., and terminating at a point half a mile below oa Brothers Greek. The length of such Bace is half a mile or thereabout*, and its intended course ii along the course of the Creek. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by eighteen inches ; it is capable of carrying two sluiceheads of. water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed'to appropriate is two. NOTICE is therefore given that on the 10th day of Jaly, 1877, a License may be grafted to the above-named Thomas W.
