la the Supreme Court to-day, before the Chief Justice, the Grand Jury made a presentment, asking for a sitting of the District Court. The Judge said he would forward it to the Minister of Justice.—Sarah Ramsay, for forging at Kaikoura, pleaded guilty<—The Grand Jury ignored the bill against William Macintosh for rick burning. He will be sent to the Wellington Lunatic Asylum,
from whence, it is alleged, he escaped.'— George .Kelly, of Kaikoura, was acquitted on a charge of cattle stealing. The Crown abandoned the second charge as a hopeless case. .
The Borough Council will send a delegate to the Municipal Conference.
George Cotterill and Isabella Carandini close a very successful season to-night.
