A PPLICATION has been made by Robert J\. Thompson Graham for the Phoenix Gold Mining Company for a license to construct a Water Eaee for Mining purposes at Pakirarabi, commencing at a point about 409 yards north-east of the Sarrey No^l Claim, and' terminating at the lower end of the said claim. The length of such Bace is 800 yards or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-east and south-west. The /mean breadth and depih of euch Race is two feet by nine inches. I*, is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriate is two.
