LITTLE AGNES (TARAEU.)

Thorburn and party, the tributers of this mine, finished a crushing of 77 ton's of quartz at the Missouri battery to-day for the satisfactory return of 85 ounces of retorted. gold. The gold obtained is of good value being worth considerably

more than £3 10s per ounce. The crashing was taken entirely from the low level drive, and the average would have been much better-had not a large quantity of mullock got mixed with the crushing stuff; in fact about one-third of the above tonnage was mullock, and worthless stuff. The lode never looked better thaD at present, and there is a long course of it in this ground.
