Insurance \' c w zealand iV GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE, I—The Government Lift /Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policieß. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed hy the Colony. Participation in Pro6i3 is authorised by the Legis lature to be given to Policy-holders. 2—Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees i charged. 4-All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent oi their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the originarampunt, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Securi^ from Loss —Insurers, after having paid three fHI annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender vdue of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when du.e, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace »re allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and residence. ' ■ B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy- —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, Iwafide on his own life, iB protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to' the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies oniy in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Poli cies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies, —Policies effected for the benefit of the wife, and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not leas than, seven years. ■ If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. • 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with I —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200j the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.
