A PPLIOATION has been made by Robert jCX Tkompson Graham for the Phosnix Gold Mining Company for a license to con* struct * Water Race for Mining purposes at Pakirarahi, commencing at a point about 4T3 yards north-east of the Surrey No. 1 Claim, and terminating at the lower, end of the said claim. The length of »uch Bice is 8(0 yards or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-east and south-vest. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by nine inches. It is capable of carrying two sluice, heads of water, and the number of sluice heads of forty inches each which it is proposed to appropriatei is two* NOTICE is therefore given, that on the 10th day of Jv\y, 1877, a License may be granted to the above-named Phoenix Gold Mining Company . (Limited) for the said Water Race, unless valid objection thereto be in the meantime made.in writing, and lodged at this office not less than seven clear 1 days before that date. Graham for the Phoenix Q-.M.C0., and terminating at a point half a mile below on Brothers Creek. The length of such Race is half a m;\e or there* about*, and its intended course is along the course of the Creek.
