Entries have been made for the Great Metropolitan Stakes of the A.J.C. Spring Meeting, and for the Melbourne Cup the entries are very large.
Two thousand pounds worth of jewellery have been robbed from Godstrum's. Timothy, Louisiana, Jack of Trumps, Maude, Somerson, Eangatira, Irish Stew, Ginger, The Cardinal, Sunrise, Bockwood, Dilemma, Kingfisher, La Bose, Pirane, Eingwood, Laertes, The £ing> Local, Ignomar, Sterling, Viva, Dockwood, Woolstone, Expectation, Coventry, Burnwood, Malta, Wrangler, Fernhill, Sultan, Miss Phoebe, Baron; Tarquih, Charity, Apology, Ethel, Painter, Volo, Way, TLe Deacon, Salisbury, Spark, Glengarry, Don Alphonso, Fisherman. Melbottbne, June 2. Extensive forgeries have been discovered on the City of Melbourne Bank.
